Why We Started
The Texas Healthcare Alliance Chamber of Commerce (THACC) was founded to bring together healthcare organizations, community partners, and local leaders with one shared purpose. We recognized that communities thrive when healthcare providers, educators, nonprofits, and advocates work collaboratively rather than in silos.
THACC serves as a unifying space— supporting patients, families, and the professionals who care for them. By connecting resources, elevating community voices, and championing health initiatives, we aim to build a healthier, more informed, and more empowered South Texas.

Texas Healthcare Alliance Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting healthcare professionals, businesses, and students across South Texas.
The Texas Healthcare Alliance Chamber of Commerce welcomes physicians, providers, hospitals, clinics, students, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and businesses that deliver healthcare‑related services, products, or resources to our community.
Our members represent a diverse network of clinical, administrative, academic, and community‑based professionals working together to elevate our healthcare community.
Members receive networking opportunities, event invitations, promotional visibility, ribbon cuttings, advertising opportunities, and access to healthcare community resources.
THACC hosts monthly networking events (Healthcare Connection Night) every first Wednesday of the month, as well as a variety of community initiatives throughout the year. The chamber also supports member ribbon cuttings and milestones throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Students can join at a discounted membership rate of $25.00 and can participate in volunteer opportunities, events, and future healthcare leadership initiatives.
